True Story

I spent the fall of 2025 developing a film production company logo + brand identity for award-winning screenwriter, David Aaron Cohen. The initial challenge was finding an emotional mark that clearly depicted both “truth” and “storytelling.”

Early explorations ranged from more literal approaches to depicting screenwriting through classic film slates, script paper stacks, and film negative strips, but ultimately segued to a more abstract idea of people sitting around a campfire telling stories.

 
 
 

The final concept was simplified to a campfire logomark as a symbol of the root of humanistic storytelling. Once the textured logomark and typography were dialed in we fleshed out a complete brand style guide outlining proper logo treatment, typographic styles, color palette, and overall look-and-feel.
